Maulana Fazl invites Nawaz to sit with JUI-F on opposition benches

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party rejects the election results and invites former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his party to sit with them on opposition benches.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in a press conference that the JUI-F was the point of view that the parliament has lost its importance. It seems that decisions will not be made in the house but in the field.

He said the rigging record of 2018 was also broken in the general election 2024.

He said that “we reject the statement of the election commission on transparent elections. Our victory has been turned into defeat under the pressure of the anti-Islam international powers. We will not compromise on our ideology. If the elections have been transparent, then the May 9 mantra is over.”

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that “we will launch a movement and workers should be ready for a call.

he said that “our fight with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is not of bodies but of minds. We will go to the assembly according to our status. This is not my personal statement but the statement of the core committee.”

He clarified that “we will not ally with any party. We will not be part of any government formation. I will go to Balochistan and tell them about the decisions of the party. We have not decided to leave the assemblies. We are not with the government. We will not vote for the prime minister’s candidate.”

He said that if the establishment thinks that the elections were transparent, then the May 9 argument is buried. “Those who think there was rigging should join us, and those who do not think so, should enjoy themselves. If the establishment stays away from politics, they will be the crown of our head. If the establishment engages in politics, the response will also be political,” he said.
