NA to be disovled on August 9 says Sanaullah

ISLAMABD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that the National Assembly will be dissolved on the night of August 9.

“Elections will not be deferred under any circumstances,” he said during a programme on SAMAA Tv.

He clarified that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) did not nominate Ishaq Dar for the slot of caretaker prime minister.

“All the parties agree that the caretaker prime minister will be a politician,” he added.

Regarding potential candidates, Sanaullah suggested that Dar from the PML-N and Raza Rabbani from the PPP could be considered for the slot.

Addressing concerns about the recently held census, he stated that it will not be notified until all  discrepancies in the enumeration were sorted out.
