ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a significant reduction in the price of petrol, lowering it by Rs10.20 paise per liter.

This announcement comes as part of a 15-day reduction plan for petroleum product prices, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

In addition to the petrol price cut, the price of diesel has also been reduced by Rs2.33 paise per liter. This move follows an earlier reduction on June 1, when the government decreased the petrol price by Rs4.74 paise per liter and the diesel price by Rs3.86 paise per liter.

The cumulative relief provided to the public now totals Rs35 per liter of petrol, reflecting the government’s efforts to ease the financial burden on citizens amidst fluctuating global oil prices.
