The Colombian singer’s appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” featured a performance of her song “Puntería” from the new album released on March 22. This marks Shakira’s first release in nearly seven years and has already received widespread acclaim from both fans and critics.

During her conversation with Fallon, Shakira opened up about the ‘emotional process’ of creating the album, sharing that each track was inspired by “raw emotion” and “personal introspection”. In another interview, Shakira the significance of her album’s title that means “Women Don’t Cry Anymore” in English. The title reportedly echoes her resilience after a tumultuous and high-profile split with allegations of cheating by the other party.

The Colombian singer stated that it represented a shift towards acknowledging women’s pain “after years of concealing”. “Women no longer cry, it is men’s turn now,” she reportedly said.

Shakira’s remarks about her relationship with Piqué has also attracted media attention. She reminisced on her journey to “independence” and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to focus on her music and career again.
