When will the first public holiday in Pakistan in 2024 be?

WEB DESK: As per the circular issued by the Cabinet Division of the Government of Pakistan, the first public holiday in Pakistan for the year 2024 is scheduled to be observed on February 5.

The circular titled “Public and Optional Holidays for the Year 2024” designates Monday, February 5, 2024, as a public holiday occasion of Kashmir Day.

In the month of February, an optional holiday is listed to celebrate ‘Basant Panchami’ on February 14.

Separately, January 1, 2024, has been declared a bank holiday in Pakistan, as per a notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan. All banks across the country will remain closed on Monday.

The circular issued by cabinet division also lists January 1, 2024 as bank holiday in Pakistan.
