20 killed in two separate Israeli assaults on Palestinians

Nuseirat refugee camp

GAZA: At least 20 Palestinians including women and children have been killed in two separate Israeli attacks on the Nuseirat refugee camp and neighbourhoods in the central Gaza Strip this Monday morning.

Another 15 Palestinians are reported to be wounded.

The refugee camp has been a regular target of the Israeli military, being subjugated to constant raids and becoming the site of some of the largest mass-casualty assaults.

Ten people including several children and women were among the dead after a house near Qassam cemetery was bombed in the Nuseirat camp and it is feared that the death toll could rise.

Just last week at least 18 people were killed after a United Nations school sheltering displaced people was bombed in the same area.

In another incident, another 10 Palestinians were killed in attacks in Zeitoun and Sheikh Radwan neighbourhoods.

The Health Ministry in Gaza has stated that at least 20 people were killed and 76 wounded in the last 24-hour period.

This is a developing story.
