Bodies of Iran bus accident victims arrive in Jacobabad


The bodies of those who died in a recent bus accident in Iran have been transported back to Jacobabad on Friday.

JACOBABAD: The bodies of those who died in a recent bus accident in Iran have been transported back to Jacobabad on Friday.

The accident occurred in Iran’s Yazd province three days ago. It resulted in 28 deaths and 23 injuries among the pilgrims.

Following special instructions from the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a Pakistan Air Force C-130 aircraft carried the deceased and injured from Iran to Jacobabad.

The injured will be transferred to Karachi via an air ambulance for further treatment.

Funeral prayers for the deceased Pakistani pilgrims were held at Yazd Airport.

Sindh Chief Minister announced financial aid for the Iran bus victims’ families: Rs5 million for each deceased and Rs1 million for each injured individual.

The bus accident involved 51 pilgrims, primarily from Larkana.
