Houthis claim downing US drone in Yemeni airspace

SANAA: Military group Houthis that currently govern Yemen stated that they downed a United States (US) aircraft found in their airspace.
According to reports, the downed aircraft is the MQ-9 Reaper, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or a drone.

The MQ-9 Reaper was developed by a defense contractor and mostly used by the US Air Force (USAF). The drone is mainly used for intelligence gathering, surveillance, spying and taking out targets.
Like most other UAVs, the MQ-9 Reaper is remote-controlled and fitted with sensors, cameras, and weapons systems. The drone is used for missions requiring long duration and in high altitudes.
