Breaking: Missiles fired at Israel from Yemen, air raid sirens go off in occupied Jerusalem

JERUSALEM: Israeli military officials have said that missiles have been fired at Israel from Yemen. The Israeli military is trying to shoot down missiles.

Meanwhile, news agencies are reporting that air raid sirens have been sounded in occupied Jerusalem as well.

According to The Times of Israel there were no reports of injuries or damage caused directly by the attack.

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel would respond.

“The Houthis continue to launch Iranian missiles at Israel. As we promised, we will respond strongly in Yemen and anywhere else necessary,” he said in a statement.

Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023, Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis have continued to fire missiles at Israel in what they say is solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

Most of the group’s missile have been intercepted or have fallen short.

The Houthis did not immediately comment on the latest missile launch.
