Canadian diplomats in Delhi receive threats from Hindu extremists

New Delhi: Amidst the heated diplomatic standoff between Canada and India, Hindu extremists have reportedly issued threats against Canadian diplomats stationed in Delhi, prompting the Canadian High Commission to issue a threat alert.

The High Commission has called upon the Indian government to take immediate measures to ensure the safety and security of Canadian officials in the region.

Canadian authorities are also actively considering a reduction in the number of Canadian nationals at the embassy in response to the heightened security concerns.

Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called on India to cooperate with an investigation into the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia and said Canada would not release its evidence.
