China orders citizens to leave Israel “as soon as possible”

BEIJING: The Chinese embassy in Israel issued a directive urging its citizens to leave the country as soon as possible due to escalating tension in the region.
The directive came following recent attacks involving Hezbollah members, and indiscriminate bombardment of Lebanon by Israel that has left over 400 dead in less than a week.

The embassy’s advisory comes as there is growing concerns over the security situation along the Israel-Lebanon border as Hezbollah vows retaliation.
According to reports, the embassy highlight the urgency of the situation. It advised Chinese nationals residing in Israel to return to their homeland or relocate to safer areas “as soon as possible”.
The Chinese embassy’s statement highlights the heightened risk associated with the ongoing conflict in Middle East, with many global leaders concerned of the conflict spreading to the wider region.
Chinese officials have been closely monitoring the developments in the region and said they were taking proactive measures to safeguard their citizens.
