Egypt spy chief set to meet Israel’s Gaza negotiators in Cairo: media

CAIRO: Egypt’s intelligence chief Hassan Rashad is due to meet later Monday with Israeli negotiators in Cairo for talks on a ceasefire in Gaza, Egyptian state-linked media said.

The meeting with the Israeli delegation led by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer comes several days after a Hamas team visited the Egyptian capital to discuss a potential ceasefire, according to the report on Al-Qahera News, which is close to Egypt’s intelligence services.
