NEW YORK: The New York Times recently conducted an in-depth investigation that reveal several unsettling details about the interior of disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, with a particular focus on the content of his private office, which hints at association with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
Among the most attention-grabbing discoveries were framed photographs prominently displayed in Epstein’s office, which depicted him alongside several high-profile and globally influential figures.

One of the most notable people featured in these photographs is Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS).
These images, as confirmed through a thorough ‘scrutiny’ by the New York Times staff, hint the extent of Epstein’s powerful network that included some of the world’s most prominent leaders.
As per a 2019 report by the New York Times and later confirmations by several journalists, Epstein kept a full-length framed photograph of Mohammad bin Salman displayed prominently in his New York home.
Besides the framed photographs, the office held other disturbing artefacts, creating a troubling image of Epstein’s personal associations. Among these is a first edition copy of the controversial 1955 novel ‘Lolita’ by Vladimir Nabakov.
The novel itself is centred around the repeated sexual abuse of a young girl by her stepfather, a paedophile; aligning with the nature of Epstein’s own criminal activities.
Jeffrey Epstein’s death in 2019 is shrouded in mystery and conspiracies, with his alleged suicide at a US federal detention centre while awaiting trial on federal charges related to sex trafficking and the sexual abuse of minors.
Epstein’s case drew global attention and anger due to the high-profile personalities involved and the nature of his crimes. His social circles included prominent personalities including the US President Donald Trump, who as one point publicly referred to Epstein as a “great guy”, as well as former US President Bill Clinton.
Besides politicians, his guests included renowned academics such as Noam Chomsky, along with several other powerful men from the Western world.
The guest list linked to Epstein was recognised for including global political figures. For instance, Israeli former Prime Minister Ehud Barak and his wife are said to have visited Epstein, reportedly expressing effusive praise towards the sex offender.
The allegations against Epstein also related to his close associated and former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was later convicted and is currently serving jail time on several counts related to facilitating Epstein’s sexual crimes.
Together, they were implicated in operating a vast network often referred to as the ‘Lolita Express’ – a private jet used to transport guests, some of them minors, to Epstein’s various properties.

Central among these properties was Epstein Island, a private island where many of the alleged abuses took place.
The long list of charges against the late sex offender include sex trafficking of minors, running a vast network for the exploitation of underage girls, and maintaining an environment that enabled those abuses to persist largely unchecked for decades.
