Hajj 2025: Arafat Sermon today will be available in 34 languages

MAKKAH: The Arafat sermon of Hajj 2025 will be delivered shortly by Khateeb-e-Hajj Imam-e-Haram Sheikh Saleh al Humaid from Masjid Namirah. The sermon will be available in 34 languages for people across the world. Translation will be available real-time.

Preparations for the Arafah sermon translation project had been completed ahead of the 9 Zilhajj, 1446H, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of Masjid-e-Haram (Grand Mosque) and Masjid-e-Nabwi (the Prophet’s Mosque) informed.

The aim of this project is to convey Islam’s message of peace and tolerance to a global audience in their native languages. It will also allow for fostering better communication between Muslims and non-Muslims across the world.

The service has been promoted through various government media platforms as well, and it will also be offered by the international media in coordination with the Ministry of Media at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 34 languages in which the Arafah Khutbah this year will be broadcast live are:

Arabic, Urdu, English, French, Indonesian, Persian (Farsi), Hausa, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Bengali, Turkish, Malay (Bahasa Melayu), Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Filipino (Tagalog), Amharic (Ethiopia), Bosnian, Hindi, Dutch, Thai, Malayalam, Swahili, Pashto, Tamil, Azerbaijani, Swedish, Uzbek, Albanian, Fulani (Fula), Somali, Rohingya, Yoruba.

Around two million pilgrims, from all across the world, are performing Hajj this year.
