Hamas, Houthis to stand by Iran against Israel; as US Iran talks collapse

Hamas issued a statement on Israel’s attacks on Iran, saying that a dangerous escalation in aggression threatens to further destabilise the situation in the region.

“Iran is paying the price for its steadfast stance in supporting Palestine and the Palestinian resistance,” the statement by Hamas said on Friday.

Earlier, on Thursday, Yemen’s Ansarallah group Houthis had also voiced full support for Iran in the event of an attack by the United States or Israel.

Baghdad’s Shafaq News had quoted the member of the group’s political bureau Abdullah Al-Nuami saying that “the group will stand firmly with Iran and will never abandon it in the face of any American or Israeli aggression.”

‘NO NEGOTIATIONS’

Meanwhile, Iran has announced that it will not participate in the sixth round of nuclear talks with the United States on Sunday, Iranian media said.
