PARIS: A violent extremist group in India collects funds through organized networks, according to a report by the global financial watchdog.
During a hearing of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), India’s long list of crimes came to the fore. The group has sent a team to India to investigate the illegal and inhumane practices in detail.
According to sources, India will also be added to the FATF’s blacklist soon. The Narendra Modi government of India is providing financial support to terrorist organisations on a large scale and India’s involvement in several terrorist activities around the world has been proven, they added.
China Is lending billions to countries in financial trouble
The sources further said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), under the direct supervision of the Modi government, is spreading terrorism and anarchy all over the world.
The sources also said that the Modi government collects funds from illegal businesses to finance terrorist organizations.
India’s city of Mumbai has become the biggest gambling hub of the country, the sources said, adding that India is leading in money laundering, smuggling, drug trafficking, human trafficking and informal economic accounts.
Informal accounts account for 43% of India’s GDP, while more than $4.2 trillion in India’s reserves have been acquired illegally, the sources said.
India has been found ranked fourth on the list of informal economies in the world. Through this non-traditional sector, the Modi government promotes terrorism not only in India, but also across the world.
Moreover, India also tops the list of gold smuggling countries. An Indian group was caught red-handed in France for money laundering, and 10 million euros recovered from the Indian money laundering network there.
In India, 228.42 billion Indian rupees were laundered through the ABG Shipyard Bank fraud and $2 billion in the Punjab National Bank fraud.
The increasing rate of smuggling, money laundering and terrorism in India will prove very serious for the entire region.
The sources also said that the dots of real estate fraud, smuggling, and money laundering in India can be connected with terrorism around the world. And India has to answer all of the FATF’s questions regarding this.
A detailed investigation into India’s criminal and terrorist activities is indispensable for peace and stability in the world, experts say. – INP
