DUBLIN: The Republic of Ireland’s Foreign Minister Michael Martin said that Israel is targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

The Ireland’s FM said that Israel has targeted innocent civilians and public infrastructure in Palestine. “There is widespread destruction in the Gaza War”, he said.

Martin lamented that there is indiscriminate use of gunpowder against unarmed civilians. “Gunpowder is being used unhesitatingly in populated areas in Gaza,” he stated.

The Irish FM pointed out that despite the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling, “Israel is engaged in genocide” of innocent Palestinians.

The ICJ ruling pertains to a decision issued by the international court on January 26 that ordered Israel to take measures in order to prevent the Palestinian genocide in Gaza.

According to Gaza’s health ministry, more than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel aggression since October 2023.
