TEL AVIV: Israel’s military said Sunday that its air force had targeted “more than 80” positions in Iran’s capital Tehran in the third day of the most intense confrontation yet between the two arch-foes.

The strikes were conducted “throughout the night”, the military said in a statement, and “targeted more than 80 objectives, including the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, the headquarters of the nuclear project (SPND), and additional targets where the Iranian regime hid the nuclear archive”.

Israeli authorities also claimed that Iranian missile attacks damaged pipelines and transmission lines of Israeli oil refinery in Haifa.

They also said that no casualties had occurred in attack on Israeli oil refinery, adding that the refining facilities continue to operate, but some downstream operations have been shut down.

Damage is being assessed extensively, Israeli authorities said.

Israel also claims to have shot down a drone in the Arabah Valley. Israeli media quoted Israeli Defense Minister as saying that they will continue to attack Iran’s military installations.

The attacks will continue until Iran’s nuclear capabilities and weapons systems are destroyed, Israeli Defense Minister said.

Meanwhile, Reuters have reported that Iranian Defense Ministry office has been attacked in past hour in Isfahan. But the Iranian media is saying that no attack has been done on Isfahan refinery and that operations continue without interruption.

Reports from Arab media say that Israel attacked the Iranian city of Shiraz, which also caused thick clouds of smoke to cover the sky.
