WEB DESK: Israeli Information Minister Galit Distel-Atbaryan has announced her resignation late Thursday, marking the first departure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government since the recent escalation in Gaza.

In a statement released by her on X, Distel-Atbaryan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Netanyahu for the trust placed in her during her tenure. “I have decided to resign from my position as Minister of Information,” the statement read. The minister, who is a Likud party member, mentioned her intention to return to serve from the Knesset (parliament).
