Kamala Harris rejects Trump’s debate offer

WASHINGTON: Unite States (US) Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris declined Republican candidate Donald Trump’s proposal for a debate on Fox News.

This has cast a level of uncertainty over the upcoming presidential debates.

Kamala Harris rejected the debate offer after Trump refused to participate in a debate on ABC News. She confirmed her participation in a debate scheduled for September 10.

However, Trump insisted on debating Harris on September 4 at a venue in Pennsylvania, exclusively on Fox News.

The stalemate over the debate formats has raised concerns that a presidential debate may not occur if an agreement between the candidates is not reached.
