Lightning resembling Palestine map: divine message or basic science

A video circulating on social media showing a powerful lightning strike illuminating the Burj Khalifa in Dubai resembling the map of Palestine has mesmerized everyone.

The video, which has currently nearly 12 million views, originally captured by Dubai-based photographer Zohaib Anjum, shows a single lightning strike traveling down the side of the skyscraper.

There is no clear answer to whether lightning resembling the map of Palestine is a divine message or a scientific phenomenon. While some may interpret it as a message from a higher power, others may see it as a natural occurrence resulting from atmospheric conditions.

Although the emotional reaction is understandable, it’s crucial to acknowledge the natural occurrence of lightning strikes, which often follow unpredictable paths.

According to scientists, the characteristic zigzag pattern of lightning is caused by a highly conducting form of oxygen that builds up irregularly as the bolt travels toward the ground, sometimes over great distances.

Among the lingering questions about lightning are what causes it. Although scientists now assume that lightning is static electricity created by the motion of ice particles in thunderclouds, that isn’t known for sure.

The mysteries have not been recognized and are not known by the general public.

Any resemblance to the map of Palestine is likely coincidental.

Concerns revolve around the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, prompting outrage over reported civilian casualties.

The video has become a focal point for advocates urging Arab leaders to adopt a firmer stance against the ongoing violence.
