Traversing through multiple countries, including Pakistan, the convoy’s entry into Russia marks a milestone in regional trade facilitation. The initiative, spearheaded by the NLC, highlights efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.
To ensure the freshness of the produce during transit, the NLC utilised reefer services, addressing concerns about spoilage due to the lack of cold chain infrastructure. This strategic approach aims to mitigate losses and enhance the quality of agricultural exports.
Upon arrival in Derbent, the convoy received a warm welcome from representatives of various organisations, including the International Road Transport Union, Russian Customs officials, Pakistani embassy officials, and members of the business community. The event celebrated the successful collaboration between Pakistan and Russia in advancing trade relations.
The Russian authorities commended the NLC’s efforts and acknowledged the potential for further trade expansion between the two countries. This achievement underscores the importance of fostering robust economic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
