Palestinian President meets with Saudi FM to discuss Gaza war

RAMALLAH: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, regarding the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
The meeting took place in Ramallah, occupied-West Bank were the Palestinian president detailed the pressing humanitarian crisis going on in the relentlessly bombed enclave.

Abbas called for Arab solidarity in addressing the issues facing the innocent Palestinians facing genocide and oppression under the brutal Israel regime.
Meanwhile, Israel continued its relentless bombardment following a quick withdrawal from southern Beirut, Lebanon.
Eyewitnesses on the ground painted a grim picture as smoke plumes arose from where Israeli airstrikes targeted several locations.
According to reports, 19 people were killed by Israel’s senseless violence within the last 24 hours.
The Israeli military confirmed the deaths of four soldiers and six injuries in southern Lebanon during standoff with Hezbollah.
In Gaza itself, Israeli tanks shelled a hospital in the northern region. This resulted in the detention fo several medical personnel and the postponement of critical surgeries.
The escalation of violence led to reports of 17 Palestinians martyred and 42 others injured in an attack on the Nasirat camp located in central Gaza.
The occupying force’s siege of the Jabalia refugee camp is now in its 20th day, with reports of a rising death toll. Reports indicate that the number of casualties in Jabalia alone now numbers well of 770, with around 1,000 people sustaining injuries.
The ongoing blockade by Israel has also severely limited access to basic neceistieis, incldjuing food, water, and medical supplies.
Since Israel began its brutal military operation of Gaza last year, over 43,000 Palesitnians have been martyred and over 100,000 injured.
The United Nations have called for an immediate ceasefire, however, that hasn’t stopped the occupying forces’ brutality.
Human rights organisations keep warning that over 1.5 million people in Gaza urgently are at brink of famine, with millions displaced from their homes.

Israel has reduced the encircled enclave to a barren wasteland with indiscriminate bombardments with Palestinians having nowhere to go. More than 15,000 children have been killed by the occupiers.
