Palestinian prime minister arrives in KSA for Hajj

JEDDAH: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has embarked on the sacred Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj, arriving in Jeddah early on Monday.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Palestinian premiere was welcomed by the governor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, at King Abdulaziz International Airport.
This year’s Hajj pilgrimage has seen an influx of worshippers at Makkah’s Grand Mosque, marking the largest turnout since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Over two million worshippers are expected to participate in the annual event, which began early on Monday.
The eighth day of Zil Hajj, is a significant part of the Hajj pilgrimage. On this day, pilgrims follow in the footsteps of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), traveling from Makkah to Mina. From there, they will proceed to Mount Arafat the following day. Pilgrims make this journey by various means, including bus, car, and even on foot.
Saudi Arabia has also implemented technology to ease the Hajj experience for pilgrims, showcasing the country’s commitment to facilitating this important religious event.
