NEW DELHI: Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the Lok Sabha while reciting a prayer (durood) for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

While invoking blessings on the Prophet, he stated that all great figures have spoken of non-violence, of ending fear, and have said “Do not be afraid.”

In his address, Gandhi further said that BJP leaders are spreading hatred, fear and violence.

He criticized the BJP for claiming to be Hindu while simultaneously propagating hatred.
