Sanders says ‘divine intervention’ saved Trump; praises his hardline China stance

MILWAUKEE: Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders praised US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during the second night of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday (July 16), declaring that “not even an assassin’s bullet could stop him.”

She said, “Donald Trump was the very first president in my lifetime to take a hard line against China. And I’m proud to be the first and only governor in the country to kick communist China off our farmland and out of my state.”

During her speech, Huckabee Sanders repeatedly asserted that divine intervention saved Trump from an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 13). “God spared President Trump from that assassin because God is not finished with him yet,” the former White House press secretary said.

“And he most certainly is not finished with America yet either. With God as our guide and President Trump back in the White House, we will show the world that America is the place where freedom reigns and liberty will never die,” Sanders added.
