Saudi Arabia warns against misuse of Umrah visas for employment

RIYADH: Authorities in Saudi Arabia have issued a stern caution against the improper use of Umrah visas for activities unrelated to pilgrimage.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has highlighted the necessity of strictly adhering to regulations governing the use of these visas, stressing that they are exclusively intended for pilgrimage purposes, Gulf News reported.
High level Saudi delegation arrives today
In an official statement released on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, the ministry underscored the importance of respecting the intended purpose of Umrah visas. Pilgrims have been urged to ensure their departure from the Kingdom before the expiration of their visa period.
Additionally, individuals have been warned against any attempts to exploit the visa for employment opportunities.
