Saudi Crown Prince and French president discuss Gaza de-escalation and peace


WEB DESK: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from the French President Emmanuel Macron, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During the conversation, the Crown Prince stressed the importance of reducing the violence in Gaza. The goal is to prevent the escalation of violence and avoid its potentially harmful impact on regional and global security and stability, as stated by SPA.

MBS also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s stance against targeting civilians and stressed the significance of adhering to international humanitarian laws. He urged the need to halt military operations that affect the daily lives of civilians and disrupt essential infrastructure.

Furthermore, the Crown Prince underlined the necessity of achieving stability and working towards a lasting peace, including the establishment of a just solution for the creation of a Palestinian state, according to the SPA statement.
