MUMBAI: The Mumbai police received a warning call on February 11 that Indian prime minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft was to be targetted by terrorism ahead of his official visit to France and the United States.
According to Indian media, the police however managed to arrest the caller, who is being dubbed to be suffering from mental health issues.
This is not the first time that Modi received a threatening call and received one earlier in December last year.
According to ANI, the police control room received the call and the police immediately informed the security agencies to take necessary measures before his departure.

“On 11th February, a call was received at Mumbai Police Control Room warning that terrorists may attack PM Modi’s aircraft as he was leaving on an official visit abroad. Considering the serious nature of the information, the Police informed other agencies and began an investigation,” the statement by the Mumbai police said.
Modi arrived in Marseilles to pay homage to freedom fighter V D Sawarkar, and is attending the AI Summit in Paris. He will also head to the US later to ensure that India does not get the short end of the stick in the ongoing trade war started by Donald Trump.
