TEL AVIV: Israel and the US have agreed to end war in Gaza in two weeks, Israeli media reported, as US President Donald Trump pushes for peace in the volatile Middle East.
It was Israel Hayom, which first reported the development, while citing a source. It said US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister had contacted on phone after the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

ABRAHAM ACCORDS
Meanwhile, it seems that expanding the Abraham Accords is the main objective, which enabled Trump to convince Netanyahu. That is the reason why the report says two Arab countries would establish diplomatic ties with Israel, with other Muslim countries following the suit.
Reason is simple. No other Arab state can be asked to recognize Israel at a time when the Palestinians are being slaughtered in Gaza.
The Abraham Accords is the flagship project of Trump, which he materialised during his first term. As a a result the UAE and Bahrain recognised Israel. Later, Morocco too joined them.
OPPORTUNITY
It is the reason Netanyahu, according to Reuters, said the “victory” against Iran “presents an opportunity for a dramatic widening of peace agreements. We are working on it with enthusiasm”.
In a statement, he added, “Alongside the freeing of hostages and defeat of Hamas, there is a window of opportunity that must not be missed. We cannot waste even a single day.”
GAZA FUTURE
The plan, according to Israel Hayom, suggests that four Arab states, including the UAE and Egypt, would jointly govern the Gaza Strip. At the same time, the Hamas is to be exiled and all the Israeli hostages would be released.
As far as the Palestinians are concerned, those wishing to leave the Gaza strip would be settled in other countries. However, the media outlet didn’t name those countries.
TWO-STATE SOLUTION
When it comes to the two-state solution, the US and Israel have also ready to revive the plan, stalled since the Oslo Accords.
For this purpose, Israel would express its support for a future two-state solution. However, there is a condition that the Palestinian Authority must introduce reforms.
But the size of the would-be Palestinian state remains in question, as the US is set to recognise Israeli sovereignty in some parts of the West Bank.
PUSH FOR TALKS WITH IRAN?
This report also explains Trump’s desire to hold dialogue with Iran and the concessions about the export of Iranian oil to China.
Hence, the Trump administration is desperate to refute the claims that the US strikes didn’t damage the Iranian nuclear sites.

In fact, the CNN media report can pave the way to questioning the Iran-Israel ceasefire and embolden the Trump opponents in the US.
