The US official justified the Israel attack on Iran, claiming it was in “self-defense”, despite the occupying force having airstriked Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza besides Gaza, killing over 45,000 people combined.
The New York Time reported that the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei instructed the Iranian military to prepare for a potential war with Israel.
The directive comes amid escalating tensions in the region as exlosions were repored in both, central and suburban areas of Iran, and even Damascus, Syria as well as in Tikrit, Iraq.
Israeli media indicated that the city of Karaj, housing Iran’s nuclear power facilities, may have been a focal point of the airstrikes.
However, it remains unclear whether the nuclear power plant itself was specifically targeted during the attacks.
Reports suggest that Israeli airstrike also struck military positions in central and southern Syria.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media linked the explosions in Tehran to air defense activities. The Iranian military is reportedly on standby as tensions continue to rise.
