US election: Trump winning every swing state

WEB DESK: As votes for the 2024 United States presidential election were being tallied on Monday, former president Donald Trump was in the lead with 230 electoral votes, while Vice President Kamala Harris trailed behind 187 electoral votes.
The election will be decided by the seven swing states, regions that are neither republican or democratic strongholds, which include Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada.
According to the Associated Press, Trump is leading in six of the seven swing states, however many of the states remain too close to call.
Trump has already won North Carolina, taking the 16 electoral votes the state offers by a margin of 134,000 votes. Over 2.5 million citizens voted for Trump, giving him 50.8 per cent of the vote, while Harris took 2,436,454 votes.

Pennsylvania, which was subject to many rallies from both candidates, and is considered the most vital state in this election, offers a total of 19 electoral votes. With 73 per cent of the votes counted, the Associated Press has Trump in the lead by over 180,000 votes. Harris has 47.9 per cent of the votes with a total of 2462560, while Trump has 51.3 per cent of the vote with 2642585.
Wisconsin, which offers 10 electoral votes, is also leaning red, with 65 per cent of votes having been counted. Trump currently has 1105699 votes which accounts for 50.7 per cent of votes tallied so far. Harris trails close behind with 47.9 per cent of the vote as 1049695 people are behind her.
Michigan is also leading red with 31 per cent of the vote. Trump is in the lead to capture the 15 electoral votes the state offers, with 52 per cent, or 964,704 votes for the former president. Harris has 46.2 per cent or 857,949 votes.
Trump is also leading Georgia with 90 per cent of the votes already counted. The 16 electoral votes seem to be going to the former president as he has 51 per cent or 2,536,898 votes, while Harris trails by over 130,000 votes, as 48.3 per cent or 2,400,252 votes are for the current Vice President.
Who is winning the US presidential election?
50 per cent of votes in the state of Arizona, which offers 11 electoral votes, has been counted. It’s a tight race, with Trump leading by over 2000 votes.
Nevada, which offers 6 electoral votes has yet to begin counting votes.
