WASHINGTON: Israeli correspondent Amichai Stein reported on Sunday that the United States offered Israel a compensation package if it refrains from attacking certain Iranian sites.
The compensation package was discussed between officials from both countries, and reportedly includes a guarantee of diplomatic protection and a weapons package. In exchange, the US expects Israel to hold off on striking certain targets in Iran.
Stein told Kan 11, an Israeli state-owned television channel, that Israel responded by saying, that while we listen to and consider the offer, we “will do anything and everything we can to protect the citizens and the security of the State of Israel

After the Iranian attack on Israel, which involved 180 missiles fired at the US ally, worry has grown regarding Israel’s retaliation.
“Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it. The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Last week, President Joe Biden was asked whether the US would support an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites.
“the answer is no,” responded the president, later being mocked for the answer by Former President Donald Trump. “That’s the thing you want to hit right?” Trump said.
