Yemen strike injures 16, proves Israel “is no longer secure”

Yemen

TEL AVIV: A missile launched from Yemen struck Tel Aviv on Friday night, injuring at least 16 people according to an Israeli ambulance service.

Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance service confirmed that at least 16 people suffered shrapnel injuries from broken glass caused by the strike.

The missile, named ‘Palestine 2’, was a hyper-sonic ballistic missile, that Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree states was fired in retaliation for both the war in Gaza and “the Israeli aggression against our country.” It struck a “military target” in the Jaffa area.

Houthi Hezam al-Asad, who is a member of the Houthi Supreme Political Council in Yemen stated on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the successful strike shows that Israel’s defences are no longer effective. He explained that the Israeli interceptor missiles had failed, claiming that “there is no longer any use for interception systems that cost billions of dollars.”
