Pervez Khattak makes revelations about how PTI Chairman came to power

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) chief Pervez Khattak on Monday claimed that his involvement played a pivotal role in Pakistan Tehreek Insaf’s (PTI) ascent to power, suggesting that the Chairman utilized his capabilities to come to the government.

He added that Imran Khan had offered him the positions of Interior Minister and President

He further said that the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has never shown respect to his party’s leaders.

He alleged that prominent PTI figures, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Omar Ayub Khan, did not receive the due respect from the PTI chairman.

Khattak further said that the PTI Chairman’s consistent lack of regard for party leaders has been an enduring issue within PTI.

He said that PTI used the narrative of “Naya Pakistan” to manipulate the youth through false promises, painting a picture that did not align with reality.

On July 12, PTI suspended the party membership of Pervez Khattak, with immediate effect.

The former defence minister, on July 17, launched his own political party, naming it Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P).
