PESHAWAR: In a ground-breaking move to bolster emergency response capabilities, the Rescue 1122 ambulance service has launched a motorcycle ambulance service in Peshawar, as announced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service Director General, Ahmad Khateer.
The introduction of motorcycle ambulances is set to revolutionize emergency services in the city, particularly during situations involving traffic congestion and road closures, explained Khateer. These two-wheeled responders will serve as the first point of contact in critical emergency situations.

He detailed the key features of the motorcycle ambulances, highlighting the inclusion of essential medical equipment such as a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure monitor), glucometer (blood sugar monitor), pulse oximeter, and a nebulizer. Additionally, each motorcycle will be staffed with a trained Rescue 1122 Emergency Medical Technician, ensuring immediate medical attention and care.
The Director General expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion of the project, emphasizing that this innovative addition to the emergency response fleet will enable prompt assistance to reach the sick and injured right at their doorstep. This new service marks a significant stride towards improving emergency healthcare accessibility and efficiency in Peshawar.
