Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan has also made an incredible leap of 31 places, moving up to 24th in the rankings. Farhan’s 2025 campaign has been nothing short of impressive, and he has now joined an exclusive club of Pakistani players who have crossed the 1500 T20 runs mark in a calendar year.

Farhan became the fourth Pakistani to reach this feat, joining the ranks of Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Shan Masood, all of whom have crossed the 1500-run threshold in T20 cricket in a year. Babar Azam notably achieved the milestone three times (2019, 2021, and 2024), while Rizwan and Masood both reached it twice (2021-2022 and 2022, respectively).

The 1500-run milestone was reached after Farhan completed 35 innings in 2025, showcasing his consistent output at the top of Pakistan’s T20 batting order. His knock of 24 runs against Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup contributed to his tally, as Pakistan sealed a five-wicket victory to stay alive in the tournament.

In the ICC T20 Rankings, Abhishek Sharma of India remains the top-ranked batsman, with England’s Phil Salt in second and India’s Tilak Verma rising to third. Varun Chakraborty of India continues to lead the bowlers, followed closely by New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and West Indies’ Aqeel Hussain. Abrar Ahmed’s recent form has seen him climb into fourth in the bowling rankings, making it a notable achievement for Pakistan.
