Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban part ways after nearly two decades

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood’s golden couple no more! After 19 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly gone their separate ways, according to multiple celebrity news outlets.
The once rock-solid duo, who tied the knot back in 2006, have quietly been living apart since early summer. According to a TMZ report, which first broke the story, Urban has already packed up and moved out of the couple’s Nashville mansion. The country music star is said to be settling into a new home of his own in Music City, while Kidman remains in the family residence.

While neither of the stars has officially commented, People magazine reported that Kidman was not on board with ending the marriage and has been trying to keep things together behind the scenes.
So far, reps for the couple haven’t responded to requests for confirmation. The pair, who both began their careers in Australia, share two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret. Kidman also has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Fans began speculating after the couple noticeably stopped appearing together in public. Kidman last posted about Urban in June, marking their anniversary with a throwback photo. Urban’s last public acknowledgment came in May during the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he celebrated receiving the ACM Triple Crown.
In the meantime, both stars have been busy with their careers. Kidman just wrapped filming a sequel to the cult classic Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock, while Urban has been touring non-stop since May, promoting his latest album High.
Hollywood’s A-list power couples seem to be dropping like flies this year, and now, it looks like another high-profile love story has come to an end.
Kidman and Urban first met at the G’Day USA gala in Los Angeles in 2005. The two stars exchanged numbers and hence began this love story. Kidman once recalled for that on her 38th birthday, Urban stood on the stoop of her apartment at 5 AM to bring her gardenias. “That is when I went, ‘This is the man I hope I get to marry,’ ” she later PEOPLE magazine. “I believed by that point he was the love of my life.”
In 2006, Kidman and Urban tied the knot in a candlelit ceremony straight out of a storybook. The couple wed at St Patrick’s Estate in Manly, a coastal suburb of Sydney, surrounded by close friends, family, and the glow of soft light. Kidman’s children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, Isabella Jane and Connor Antony, were also part of the celebration, with Isabella even joining her mother’s bridal party.

PEOPLE magazine described the wedding as a mix of “Cinderella-style fantasy,” Catholic tradition, and warm Australian spirit. At the reception, Urban took the mic to serenade his bride with his hit love song “Making Memories of Us,” adding a personal and emotional touch to the night.
Guests were gifted silver Tiffany & Co. desk clocks engraved with the words: “A Moment in Time, June 25, 2006, Nicole & Keith.” After celebrating their big day in Sydney, the newlyweds jetted off to French Polynesia for their honeymoon, marking the beginning of what was then seen as a fairytale union.
