Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating the fall season with a family day out, and a new video is giving fans a glimpse into their autumn traditions.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were joined by their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, for a festive trip to a local pumpkin patch, which Meghan documented in a charming Instagram video shared on Sunday, October 26.
Set to the classic song “California Dreamin’” by The Mamas & the Papas, the video opens with sweeping shots of golden pumpkins and a friendly scarecrow before cutting to Archie sprinting joyfully through a corn maze. Meghan is later seen pulling a red wagon filled with pumpkins, and occasionally, little Lilibet, as Harry walks beside her, hand in hand.
An article by People Magazine described the video as showing a “relaxed and happy family”, enjoying the sunny California outing together. One tender moment shows Meghan resting a hand on Archie’s shoulder as the couple watches him explore the rows of pumpkins.
The seasonal fun continued back home, as Harry tried his hand at pumpkin carving, joined by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who made a brief cameo in the video. The Duke went for a traditional jack-o’-lantern design, with Meghan posting a time-lapse of his handiwork on her Instagram Stories.

“Happy Sunday,” Meghan captioned the video, which quickly drew warm responses from fans around the world.
The outing comes just days after Meghan shared a glimpse into their family’s everyday life during a virtual appearance with Godmothers Bookstore. She revealed that each evening, the Sussexes take turns sharing a “rose and thorn” at the dinner table, which is euphemism for the best and most challenging parts of their day.

“Our daughter has a very strong personality,” Meghan said during the livestream. “Now she’s in this moment where I ask, ‘What’s your rose and thorn?’ and she says, ‘My day was just a blast.’”
The family’s autumn adventure offers another rare look at the Sussexes’ life in Montecito, where they’ve embraced a slower, family-focused pace, and a love of all things seasonal.
