Price of milk in Karachi increased by Rs20 per litre

KARACHI: The Karachi Commissioner on Tuesday issued a notification on milk prices, increasing the price of milk by Rs20 per litre. The new price, which is effective immediately, is now Rs200 per litre.

According to the new prices, the wholesale price of milk is Rs188 litre while the retail price is set at Rs200 per litre.

Earlier, on September 5, the price of milk decreased to 180 rupees per litre in various areas of Karachi due to a significant drop in sales experienced by retailers.

Separately, The World Bank (WB) has released its Pakistan Development Update Report for the year 2023, shedding light on the country’s economic situation. The report paints a challenging picture, highlighting a sharp slowdown in Pakistan’s economy during the fiscal year 2023.
