Nation celebrates Quaid’s birth anniversary with zeal

ISLAMABAD: The 147th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated on Monday with traditional zeal and enthusiasm across the country.

The day was dawn with special prayers in mosques for the integrity, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan and AJK, freedom of all occupied Muslim homelands including occupied Jammu Kashmir from the Indian yoke and bleeding Palestine from Israel’s yoke.

Similar special ceremonies will also be organized by various social, political and intellectual organizations in all district and tehsil headquarters of Azad Jammu Kashmir to celebrate the day.

Speakers, on this occasion, will pay glorious tributes to the great leader and founder of Pakistan besides highlighting his hectic life, ideas and achievements which led to the emergence of separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah played had a pivotal role as the liberator of British India’s Muslims, ensuring their emancipation.

Quaid-e-Azam navigated the complex political landscape from the formulation of the Pakistan Resolution to the establishment of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. He assumed the role of Pakistan’s first Governor-General.

A graceful change of guards ceremony was held at mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam in Karachi Monday.

Pakistan Air Force cadets handed over the guards’ duty to the cadets of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul.

Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry was chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest laid a floral wreath at the Mazar and offered Fateha.

In his message on the occasion caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar stressed upon the need of forging of unity for the continuity of democracy, peaceful coexistence and rule of law and for the elimination of extremist forces.

 The prime minister said that on this day, they should reaffirm their commitment to the national unity and prosperous and progressive Pakistan.

Quaid’s principles of ‘unity, faith and discipline’ should be the guiding principles for all as a nation to realize the democratic state as conceived by their founder,” he emphasized.

 Extending facilitation to the nation on Quaid’s birthday, the caretaker prime minister said that the entire nation was celebrating the occasion with zeal, fervor and reverence.
