CDA unveils plans for automated parking, e-buses, and cycle route in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to enhance the environmental sustainability of the federal capital, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled a series of groundbreaking initiatives, as revealed by a spokesperson.

These efforts aim to transform Islamabad into a model city for climate-friendly e-mobility.

The spokesperson highlighted key projects, including the implementation of an automated car parking system, the introduction of electric buses, citywide tree-plantation drives, and the establishment of a bicycle route network.

These initiatives collectively seek to promote a greener, more sustainable transportation system while minimising the city’s carbon footprint.

Speaking to a private news channel, the spokesperson highlighted the steps being taken to fight climate change and reduce carbon emissions.

The focal point of these efforts is the imminent launch of over 200 e-buses that will soon ply the roads of Islamabad, providing citizens with an eco-friendly alternative for their daily commute.
