Gold prices rise for second consecutive day

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan on Wednesday rose again for second consecutive day following a brief decline.

According to sources, gold prices surged by Rs400, reaching Rs215,500 per tola. Similarly, the price of ten grams of gold saw an increase of Rs343, now standing at Rs184,756.

Internationally, gold markets have also witnessed a spike. Gold surged by $5, reaching $2,033 per ounce.

This upward trend contrasts with recent steep decrease in gold prices due to fluctuations in international market. On Monday, gold prices experienced a significant drop of Rs1,200 per tola, settling at Rs214,800. Internationally, it dipped by $11 to $2,028 per ounce.

The fluctuations in gold prices is deeply intertwined with global events and the performance of the dollar in international markets.
