Minister rubbishes Imran Khan’s allegations against establishment

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Sunday refuted former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s accusations against the senior military leadership regarding the Toshakhana case, denouncing them as entirely untrue, concocted, and without merit.

The ex-pm stated that his spouse, Bushra Bibi, was purportedly singled out to apply pressure on him, further suggesting that those casting aspersions on her were aiming to ‘undermine’ the party.

“Totally false, fabricated and baseless allegations without any proof or evidence,” wrote Tarrar on X.

“[Imran Khan] and his spouse have both been involved in the Toshakhana heist, audios have proven the level of involvement in corruption and embezzlement,’ he added.

“Attacks on state institutions like the one on May 9 and running disrespectful campaigns against martyrs have been his policy,” he stated, adding that the “truth cannot be concealed through propaganda and blatant lies”.
