PPP seeks permission for “Youm-e-Sadr” event at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to celebrate the 69th birthday of President Asif Ali Zardari has sought permission to hold the “Youm-e-Sadr” event at the Minar-e-Pakistan.

In this regard, PPP leader Faisal Mir has submitted a formal application to the deputy commissioner of Lahore seeking permission to hold a mega event on July 25th.at Minar-e-Pakistan.

The application seeks permission for fireworks and a cake-cutting ceremony on the night of July 25.

According to the sources, permission has also been sought regarding the musical night at the PPP “Youm-e-Sadr” event.

Meanwhile, PPP South Punjab has also announced to celebrate the birthday of President Asif Ali with enthusiasm.

PPP South Punjab, president Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood, Senior Vice President PPP Khawaja Rizwan Alam, and Chief Coordinator Abdul Qadir Shaheen had issued instructions to all party organizations and allied officials in South Punjab to organize enthusiastic birthday celebrations for President Asif Ali Zardari on July 26.

Party flags should be hoisted at all party offices, officials’ and workers’ homes, and vehicles.

Directions have been issued to divisional, district, city and tehsil organizations, allied wings, members of the South Punjab Executive and Punjab Council, ticket holders, and party workers to organize grand programs on July 26, at district and tehsil offices, press clubs, major roads, and open spaces, and to hoist flags.

Public should be informed about the services and great deeds of the party’s martyred leaders, public welfare projects, and pray for the health and well-being of President Asif Ali Zardari and party leaders for the development and prosperity of the country, according to the statement issued by the PPP.
