Bilawal Bhutto meets PM Shehbaz to discuss political situation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Shairf to discuss the current political situation of the country.

The PPP delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Included Syed Naveed Qamar and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and the Attorney General.

The Pakistan Peoples Party is a key coalition partner in the government,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s House, the PM acknowledged the Pakistan Peoples Party’s support for all government initiatives aimed at stabilizing the national economy.

He also praised Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s “Charter of Parliament” proposal that was presented in Parliament.

The Pakistan Peoples Party delegation commended the government’s economic policies for stabilizing the national economy.

The delegation expressed complete confidence in the government’s policies and actions, which the Prime Minister welcomed.

Earlier today, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, speaking in the National assembly said that had warned the PTI not to quit the assembly, but it did not heed it, and now both the party and the country were suffering as a result.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Bilawal said, “Seeing our behaviour, the younger generation will lose interest in politics. We have turned politics into an insult. It is through this very politics that we must provide employment to our youth. We all have our responsibilities.”

He said that if a chief minister, in a public meeting, attacks the government and the judiciary, how can he be expected to provide jobs to the people of his province?”

Bilawal criticised the PTI leadership, stating, “The PTI founder has damaged the political atmosphere. The PTI founder has been in jail for several months. PTI should fight for him in the courts, while also serving the people in the assemblies.”

He expressed his dismay at divisive politics, saying, “I regret Akhtar Mengal’s decision to resign from the assembly.

He urged PTI to focus on Imran Khan’s case but the party should first return to the assembly and serve the people.
