Personalised number plate scheme to be launched in Punjab

LAHORE: Personalised number plate scheme for vehicles will be launched soon in Punjab after the approval of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, according to Director General Excise Faisal Fareed .

According to the DG, the scheme will offer three categories of custom number plates.

Under the Corporate category, companies will be able to have their names displayed on the plate.

The Platinum category will allow vehicle owners to feature their own or a loved one’s name, while the Gold category will permit the use of three preferred letters and three digits.

However, DG Excise emphasized that any words or numbers that promote religious, political, or social hatred will not be allowed on the plates.

HOW TO APPLY?

To apply for a personalised number plate in Punjab, you can contact the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department of the Punjab Government. They will provide you with the necessary information and application process.
