The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad granted bail to PTI workers on bonds of Rs 5,500 each, and ordered their release.
The written decision of ATC Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain said that according to the record, the said petitioners were not named in the FIR.
The petitioners were sent to jail on judicial remand after the investigation was completed. Prima facie, there is a case for further inquiry against the accused, the court said.
According to the decision, the charges against the accused can be determined only after recording the evidence. According to the lawyer of the petitioners, the accused could not be linked to the case. The prosecutor opposed the bail, saying that the accused are involved in a heinous crime.
