PCB slashes T20 players’ match fees by 90pc

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has massively reduced the match fees of National T20 Cup players. The per-match fee of players playing National T20 has been reduced from Rs 100,000 to Rs 10,000.
Moreover, the reserve players will only be given Rs 5,000.
The PCB has spent financial resources on beautifying stadiums. Some of the compensation for the last season has not been paid to players and umpires yet.
PCB decides to replace senior players with domestic performers
The PCB has also not increased the annual pension for former Test cricketers, sources said.
Wahab Riaz and Sarfaraz Ahmed have parted ways with their teams due to criticism. However, Shoaib Malik is still part of the Sialkot team.
The Lahore Regional Cricket Association has replaced Wahab Riaz with Ahmed Bashir, sources added.
The PCB sources said that mentors serve 224 days a year under contracts.
