FAISALABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed laptops among students, in a ceremony here on Wednesday.

CM Maryam distributed Core i7, 13th generation original Windows laptops under the CM Punjab Laptop Program. Laptops will be given to 5,928 students of Faisalabad division.

Talking about the recent conflict with India at the event, Maryam Nawaz said, “This program was also canceled due to Pakistan-India tension. Today, the nation’s head is held high with pride.” She said, “I am seeing the passion among the new generation and the youth of Pakistan. The enemy we were fighting was bigger than us in size and resources. [But] we have fought the war unitedly.”

She said that Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos against the enemy. “The way our armies fought the war, our head is high with pride. The enemy was defeated by the armed forces of Pakistan. Pakistan Army and the nation proved to be a united wall. It was said about Rafale [jets] that no one could shoot it down. Pakistan Air Force soldiers shot down Rafale,” she added.

The chief minister said that we not only won the war but also protected future generations. “The models of the planes that were our pride were set on fire. We are not from ‘May 9’, we are from ‘May 10’ and ‘May 28’,” she said highlighting Pakistan’s victory over India and Youm-e-Takbir of nuclear arms tests.

She recalled that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had carried out nuclear explosions despite opposition of the world. “Those who teach hatred and division have failed,” she said, referencing the violent protests by supporters of the opposition party on May 9.

“Victory in war is achieved through sacrifices. The nation stood by the side of the Pakistan’s armed forces,” she said.

Punjab chief minister said that when Pakistan carried out nuclear tests against India, Pakistan won with a 6-5 score. “This time we have won against the enemy by 6-0 score”, she said.

“I tell the youth not to be blind followers. You are not the children of May 9, but the children of May 28,” Maryam Nawaz said.
